Misa Wilcox is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with additional certification as a cardiovascular nurse. She began her career in 1994 working as a nurse in a small hospital in Canyon, Texas. Her clinical experience includes working in the coronary care unit and cardiac catheterization lab, as well as a nurse manager. Misa’s clinical interests include heart health, cardiovascular disease, congestive heart failure, and care for chronic conditions such as kidney disease. She places a priority on enabling access to care for individuals of all ages.
Misa earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minn., graduating Summa Cum Laude with her undergraduate degree. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Key International Honor Society, and Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing.
