Bio
Stephen C. Hurlbut, M.D., grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and graduated from Forney High School in 1982. He attended college at Austin College in Sherman, Texas where he received his bachelor's in biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and then completed his internship and residency in neurology at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. While in Kentucky he served as Chief Resident of Neurology and was awarded a fellowship in Neuro-diagnostics with emphasis on EEG, EMG/NCV and seizure monitoring.
Dr. Hurlbut returned to Texas and served as the Director of Neurology and of Neurodiagnostic services at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas from 1995-2003. He enjoys treating multiple sclerosis, seizures and dementia. Dr. Hurlbut and his wife Tammy have two children, Elizabeth and Matthew.
