Bio
William Crawford, M.D., was raised in Fort Worth and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Plan II honors curriculum and biology. He went on to graduate from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 2010.
Following medical school, Dr. Crawford completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, followed by fellowship training in foot and ankle/lower extremity trauma at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Fl. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Crawford founded Texas Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics out of his passion for caring for the joint-health needs of individuals of all ages. He places a high priority on providing compassionate surgical and non-surgical treatments, with a focus on the foot and ankle. His comprehensive approach to foot and ankle care includes minimally-invasive arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, fracture care, post-traumatic reconstruction, and deformity correction to promote optimal healing, function and mobility.
When not caring for his patients, Dr. Crawford enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar and tennis, and following Big XII athletics. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the Fort Worth Surgical Society. He speaks fluent Spanish.
