Carson Fairbanks, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in College Station before earning his medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Bryan. He completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery through the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Dr. Fairbanks pursued his orthopedic spine surgery fellowship training at the Spine Institute of Arizona in Scottsdale, where he honed his skills in open and minimally invasive techniques for the relief of common and complex spinal problems while working with some of the pioneers in minimally invasive spine treatments. These techniques include minimally invasive microdiscectomies, laminectomy, anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF), lateral lumbar interbody fusion (DLIF/XLIF), posterior lumbar interbody fusion, (TLIF, PLIF), anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), posterior cervical foraminotomy, posterior cervical fusion and cervical total disc replacements.

Dr. Fairbanks has served as a sports medicine team physician for Alvarado High School, Brenham High School and the football program at Blinn College in Brenham, Texas. He is board-certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and North American Spine Society.
