Savreet Sarkaria, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in GI cancer screening and treatment, pancreatic cancer, pancreatic cysts, biliary tract disorders, interventional endoscopy, and colonoscopy.
Dr. Sarkaria earned her medical degree at the MCP-Hahnemann College of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Temple University Hospital. She received advanced training through a fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition and a fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and gastroenterology, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.
Dr. Sarkaria is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
She has delivered numerous presentations, been a contributing author to books, including Multidisciplinary Management of Gastrointestinal Cancers, and published several academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
