Bio
Dan Sepdham, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He serves as the department’s Vice Chair for Academic Affairs and the Associate Program Director of UT Southwestern’s Family Medicine Residency Program. He specializes in family medicine.
Dr. Sepdham earned his medical degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
After completing his residency, Dr. Sepdham spent six years as a United States Air Force flight surgeon. He completed tours of duty at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida and Royal Air Force Lakenheath station in England.
Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Sepdham joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2006.
He holds the Drs. Malone V. Hill and John W. Pate Professorship in Family Medicine. In addition to his research, he regularly gives lectures and presentations on medical student education.
Dr. Sepdham is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Dallas County Medical Society, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, and the Texas Academy of Family Physicians.
