Alicia Hooper is a licensed clinical social worker supervisor and a licensed chemical dependence counselor. She also holds certifications in clinical trauma and crisis incident stress management. Alicia brings more than a decade of mental health and trauma/ crisis intervention experience to the care of Cook Children's employees and their dependents. She has served the mental health needs of the Cook Children's community since 2021. Prior to that time, she spent several years working at a substance use treatment centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She is also experienced in intimate partner violence and sexual assault intervention and recovery from relational trauma.
Alicia holds bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of North Texas in Denton. She also holds master's degrees in social work and sociology from The University of Texas at Arlington and is certified in women's and gender studies.
