Bio

Certified Physician Assistant Melanie Kakas moved from Delaware to North Texas in 2024, bringing with her more than five years of orthopedic trauma experience. She knows her way around the operating room, having managed critically ill trauma and surgical patients while working collaboratively with trauma and general surgeons. Her surgical experience includes providing assistance for procedures involving traumatic wounds, infected joints, fractures and other orthopedic concerns.

Melanie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J. with her bachelor’s degree in biology. She earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Arcadia University in Newark, Del.
