Vanessa Scott, PA-C, graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science, with an emphasis on athletic training. She earned her master of physician studies at the University of Alabama - Birmingham. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Since 2010, Scott has worked in the areas of orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, and orthopedic surgery. She came to Orthopedic Medicine Specialists from Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyo., where she served as an upper extremity orthopedic physician assistant responsible for seeing her own patients, assisting in surgery, and coordinating rehabilitation. Her areas of interest include care of the injured athlete, fracture care, sports sideline coverage, injection therapies, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Scott places a high priority on getting to know her patients and their families, in order to help with injury prevention, surgical and nonsurgical injury treatments, and rehab protocols to help return athletes to their pre-injury levels of performance.
