Roberta Angelica Romero, APRN, FNP-C Nurse Practitioner-Familyin Plano, TX

Certified family nurse practitioner Roberta (Bobbie) Romero has advanced experience in the areas of gastroenterology and hepatology, including providing collaborative care for patients with hepatitis A/B/C, cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and other complex GI and liver disorders. In addition to her decades of hands-on nursing experience, Roberta served for many years in a teaching role at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso, where she helped shape the next generation of clinicians. She also played a key leadership role in developing and implementing an ambulatory surgical center in the El Paso region, serving as RN Clinical Director and guiding the center's operational and clinical excellence. She brought her extensive skill and compassionate care to North Texas early in 2026.

Roberta graduated with her bachelor's degree in nursing and her master's degree in nursing administration from The University of Texas at El Paso. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in family nurse practitioner studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. Roberta is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastroenterologists and Society of Gastroenterology Nurses Association.
