Matthew Nguyen, MD Family Medicinein Prosper, TX

Dr. Matthew Nguyen knew at an early age that he wanted to be a physician so he could support patients of all ages in leading healthy, fulfilling lives. As a board-certified family medicine physician, he believes in using a combination of therapies and lifestyle changes to address the root cause of illness and to treat and heal the whole person. Dr. Nguyen has cared for Texans since 2022, striving to ensure his patients always feel heard and understood during their medical visits. He is especially passionate about seeing patients achieve their weight-loss goals, feel healthier on hormonal therapy, or reach a breakthrough in their treatment of depression and anxiety.

Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree at McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. He completed his family medicine residency through the CHRISTUS Spohn Family Medicine Residency Program in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physician, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, and Texas Medical Association. Away from the office, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his wife, spoiling his cats, exploring national parks, snowboarding, traveling, podcasting, and reading. He is also a foodie who loves to cook and try new restaurants.
