Bio
Amber Walls is a certified nurse practitioner with a comprehensive background in patient care. She is qualified to provide a broad range of healthcare services in collaboration with a physician. Amber began her career as a full-time nurse practitioner at Texas Health Family Care in 2015, following a diverse residency experience. Her residency included inpatient nursing across seven critical care specialties at Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth and an outpatient family nurse practitioner residency in clinics specializing in adult medicine, pediatrics and women's medicine.
Amber graduated with her bachelor's degree in science in biology/chemistry, as well as nursing from Baylor University and Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. She further enriched her knowledge through a research fellowship at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and eventually earned her doctor of nursing from Baylor University.
She is an advocate for whole person wellness, believes in early diagnosis and lifestyle intervention, and empowering her patients with knowledge and positive thinking for a long and healthy life. She champions evidence-based practice guidelines and the importance of science-based intervention, completing two evidence-based practice research projects including Reducing Polypharmacy in the Elderly and a Diabetic Foot Ulcer Prevention Program.
Amber spends her free time with her two kids and husband while also advocating for community health through various writing and speaking opportunities.

I usually see [...] and [...] but was unable to see them yesterday. [...] and Amber were caring and wonderful. And I am always amazed at how little wait time there is in reception area and offices.
