Bio
Elise Shankle earned her certification as a family nurse practitioner in 2018 and has worked in family medicine/primary care since that time. She became a registered nurse in 2012. Elise has cared for patients of all ages, with a focus on women’s health and adolescent primary care. She is passionate about developing targeted health education and strategies, especially for her patients with diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
Elise holds two bachelor’s degrees, one in biology from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas, and the other in nursing. She received her undergraduate nursing degree while at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She later earned her master’s degree in family nurse practitioner studies from Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo. Elise is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, North Texas Nurse Practitioners Association and Texas Nurses Association.
