Bio
Having a grandfather who was sick and bed-bound in his final days spurred Amy Tran’s interest in medicine. She went on to become certified as a physician assistant in 2006 so she could have an impact on the lives of others. Her extensive clinical experience has allowed her to work with patients of all ages and care for everything from primary care concerns and women’s health issues to minor injuries and chronic conditions such as ADHD, asthma, diabetes and hypertension.
Amy earned her undergraduate degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin. She received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The UT Medical Branch at Galveston. The positive impact that many of Amy’s patients make on her continually reaffirms her passion for medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. Amy speaks fluent Vietnamese.
