Cody Allen Skains, APRN, FNP-C Nurse Practitioner-Familyin Forney, TX

Cody Skains recognized the value of the nurse practitioners in his rural Louisiana community at a young age and knew he wanted to follow a similar path. He became a registered nurse in 2019 and began his nursing career working in a correctional facility. He has been certified as a family nurse practitioner since 2023.

Cody is clinically trained in a variety of disciplines, including adult and pediatric critical care, wound management and primary care. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He is passionate about helping patients across their lifespan by delivering quality diagnoses and education on the disease process. Cody is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Texas Nurse Practitioners.
