Bio
An early career in children’s dentistry spurred Mariateresa Guillermo to dive deeper into healthcare. She became a registered nurse in 2016 and gained certification as a family nurse practitioner in 2021. She has worked in a primary care setting since 2022.
Mariateresa graduated Magna Cum Laude with her bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington. She later returned to UT Arlington to earn her master’s degree in nursing. Mariateresa is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

I kept having more pages added as I moved through it all, but since I had it done online before my appointment the in person check-in was almost nonexistent. I appreciated not having to do it all again in person. I just gave my name to the friendliest reception employee I've ever dealt with in a doctor's office. It was like she was expecting me and happy to see me! Then I just took a seat until it was time to see my provider. The wait in the waiting room was brief and I was called to get vitals. The vitals went very smooth and the care was friendly and professional. The appointment was very thorough and afterwards I was sent back to the waiting room for labs. The wait for lab work was brief and the lab tech was friendly and got the lab done quickly and no issues. Everyone I came into contact was friendly and professional.Mar 2025I'm completely amazed at the thorough care I feel I received during this appointment. What was expected to be a quick follow up for Rx refills was in truth a very in depth discussion about symptoms, additional Rx options, and a referral to a specialist. All of my concerns were addressed and I felt truly heard and valued as a person and a patient.
