Bio
As a certified family nurse practitioner, Zulema Alcaraz welcomes the opportunity to care for all members of a family — from newborns to seniors — and see them through both acute and chronic health conditions. She is passionate about working as a team with patients and families to create individualized health plans and goals, seeing her patients improve and getting to build relationships along the way. She has served North Texans as a nursing professional since 2015 and is experienced in the areas of employee health, orthopedics and cardiac care.
Zulema earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association and Texas Nurses Association. Outside of work, Zulema enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also loves to read, crochet and try new restaurants. She speaks fluent Spanish.
