Carissa has a unique style which complements mine. She has talked me off my ledge so to speak many times. This most recent visit is one powerful example. I had 2 new problems that had been detected by imaging ordered by a specialist provider. As retired Nurse Practitioner I felt comfortable reviewing these test reports on my own. I have yet to hear from the provider who originally ordered these diagnostics. The new findings included an AORTIC ANEURYSM and MULTIPLE LARGE THYROID NODULES. And because the provider is an orthopedic surgeon, what,he only looked at the results describing my shoulder??? Carissa kept me calm and focused, explaining what I needed to do now, arranged further testing, and made the appropriate referrals. All this in a 30+/- encounter including at least 2 hugs . This PA professional is one great blessing in my life.
