Bio
Courtney Fernandez began her medical career in 2015 as a pediatric nursing assistant passionate about keeping North Texans well. She also is clinically trained in such areas as family and internal medicine, orthopedics and women’s health. Her special interests include diabetes management as it relates to nutritional health and community-based primary care.
Courtney graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in College Station with a bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Courtney became certified as a physician assistant in 2021. While completing her master’s degree and medical training, she aided in the fight against COVID-19 in the Fort Worth community. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
