Bio
As a child, Erika Ruiz would accompany her mother to her doctor visits and saw how well the medical staff took care of her. She knew then that she wanted to focus her career on serving others. She has been a certified physician assistant since 2011. She began her career in California before setting down roots in North Texas in 2022.
Erika earned two undergraduate degrees in mathematics and neuroscience while at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She went on to receive her Master of Physician Assistant Practice from the Keck School of Medicine at USC. Erika places a priority on providing quality comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages with a focus on healthy-lifestyle and disease prevention strategies, women’s care, orthopedics and wound management. When not with her patients, she enjoys doing yoga and meditating, running and crafting with her kids. Erika is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She speaks fluent Spanish as a second language.

We prefer natural supplements rather than prescriptions and she even helps point me in the right direction of which ones will help my body's needs. We really love her!
