Leticia Pilar began her career in 2014 as an emergency medical technician. She later found her calling as a certified physician assistant. Leticia’s areas of special interest and focus include family medicine and pediatrics, women’s care and behavioral health.
Leticia earned her bachelor of arts in biology from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. She received her master of physician assistant studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Midland, Texas. Leticia is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She speaks fluent Spanish to serve the diverse language needs of the Denton community.

She works in my PCP's practice, and since there were no available appointments with my primary doctor, I scheduled a visit with her instead. I had seen her on previous occasions, and once again she exceeded my expectations.From the moment the appointment started, she showed genuine interest in what I was explaining. She asked thoughtful and detailed questions, carefully listened to my concerns, and took the time to thoroughly explain what could be causing my symptoms. She did not rush the visit - instead, she dedicated the time and attention needed to help me truly understand my situation.As I continued to explain my concerns, she reviewed my full medical history and went over my previous lab results with me, making sure I understood everything clearly. For the first time in a long time, I genuinely felt heard by a healthcare professional. That alone made a huge difference.In the past, she was also the one who helped identify and provide a diagnosis that no one else had been able to give me.
