Bio
Even as a child, Hilda Martinez-Campos knew she was on a path to a career in medicine. She went on to become a registered nurse in 2011 after earning her undergraduate degree in nursing from The University of Texas at El Paso. Hilda decided to build on her patient care experience by earning her master’s degree in nursing from UT Arlington and becoming certified as a family nurse practitioner in 2018. She also completed her post-master’s certification as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner from UT Arlington.
Hilda has served the heart and vascular needs of North Texans for more than five years. She has experience providing comprehensive pre- and post-surgical care for patients undergoing heart catheterization, pacemaker placement, heart bypass, endarterectomy, open vascular repair, TAVR and other cardiovascular procedures. Throughout her career, Hilda has seen the need for assistance with translation in health care and that patients feel most comfortable communicating their wishes in their native language. She strives to establish positive provider-patient relationships through her fluency in the Spanish language.
When not with her patients, Hilda enjoys spending time with family and friends watching movies, vacationing and going to music concerts. She is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
