Bio

Board-certified general surgeon Justin Collier, M.D., has advanced training in cardiothoracic surgery and the use of minimally invasive robotic surgery techniques. He is certified to act as a first responder to provide emergency care to trauma victims and perform robotic-assisted surgery using the groundbreaking da Vinci Surgical System. His areas of special focus include congenital heart surgery, heart failure treatment, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and trauma thoracotomy procedures.

Dr. Collier earned his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas before going on to complete his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano. He has sat on various committees to help advance the field of cardiothoracic care and management.

When not caring for his patients, Dr. Collier enjoys riding horses, playing the guitar, traveling, and tinkering with electronics and digital media.
