Buffy Marie Powell, APRN, ACNP-BC Nurse Practitioner-Acute Carein Fort Worth, TX

Prior to joining Cardiac & Vascular Center of North Texas in 2018, Buffy Powell had worked with Permian Cardiology in Midland, Texas for 21 years. She also currently serves as a clinical instructor for The University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing. Buffy is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with extensive experience in cardiac surgical care, cardiac rehabilitation, implantable device monitoring, and medication administration in cardiology. She earned her undergraduate degree in animal science at Texas A&M University in College Station before going on to graduate with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in May of 2019 in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. She is also an assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas at Arlington in the acute care nurse practitioner program and the doctor of nursing practice program.
