Bio

Rachael Schneider, R.N., M.S.N., ACNP-BC is a Nurse Practitioner who joined Cardiology and Interventional Vascular Associates (CIVA) in 2012. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University and obtained a Master’s of Science in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington. Rachael works with all our physicians, but primarily with Dr. Brian D. Lé, our electrophysiologist, in arrhythmia clinic, and device clinics. She sees patients both in the office and hospitals. She also serves as preceptor for area nurse practitioner students. Rachael is a member of Texas Nurse Practitioners and North Texas Nurse Practitioners organizations.

I went into the appointment concerned about the battery life remaining on my pacemaker. In just seconds Rachael (through Dr.Le) expressed the identical concern. You have to admit that was very impressive. Future appointments were adjusted to track the power remaining on the device until a replacement can be scheduled for late 2027 or early 2028. We said the same thing almost at the same time - "...it's an insurance thing! ". It Is so cool to be cared for like that!

Everyone is courteous and know their job. However, somehow I got overlooked for Rachael apologized for the issue.

Rachael is the best! She went over the findings of my ablation and the time frame of being on Plavix and baby aspirin while my watchman device settles in. She explained the need for a camera test to see how my Watchman is doing after 45 days. That appointment is now set up. Rachael is very thorough and a great explainer. And always answers my many questions.
