Bio
Joseph Ortenberg, M.D., was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering and mathematics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. His medical education was completed at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He trained in internal medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and then completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Ortenberg is the recipient of numerous local awards, including Top Docs and Healthcare Heroes.
His clinical interests include general cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging. He is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
