Bio
Matthew Dickson, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.C., is fellowship-trained and board-certified in internal medicine, cardiac CT, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiology. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in biology before going on to receive his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Duke University in Durham, N.C., and fellowships in cardiology and advanced multimodality cardiovascular imaging at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Dickson’s areas of special interest include cardiovascular risks in women after menopause, echocardiography, cardiovascular imaging, ambulatory monitoring and exercise testing. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Society for Preventive Cardiology and North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging. When not caring for the heart-health needs of his patients, Dr. Dickson enjoys jogging, skiing, scuba diving and playing the trumpet.

The explained what was going on and why he was doing the test he was going to do he answered all my questions and he seems to truly care about you I finally have my cardiologist I feel like I can trust

The staff makes you feel convertible there kind and answer any concerns you may have they have a smile on there face and try there best to make your visit a nice one I would like to say thank you to the staff for showing us they care about you and when they tell you with a smile and a kind voice before they leave the room if you need anything let them no they seem to mean it

Doctor Dickson does an amazing job. He is very caring and listens well. Nurse did the same. Front office people were very friendly and kind.

Each person I encountered was so professional. My first visit was everything I had hoped for. Dr Dickson is a good listener. I have mild cognitive impairment, so it helped that he explained everything to me. Great job! Thank you.
