Bio
Dr. Deval Desai is a board-certified internist with advanced training in cardiovascular disease. He has been caring for cardiac patients since 2020 with special focus on providing and advancing treatments for structural and ischemic heart disease. Dr. Desai is also passionate about helping his patients manage their heart disease risk factors and avoid complications. He uses cardiac imaging techniques and therapies, including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), to assess and improve patient heart health.
Dr. Desai earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. He completed his internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital, also in Philadelphia. He went on to complete his cardiovascular disease fellowship through the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, N.J.
When not with his patients, Dr. Desai enjoys staying active through photography, travel, tennis, biking and cooking. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Heart Association, American Society of Preventative Cardiology and Heart Failure Society of America. He speaks fluent Hindi and Gujarati.
