Ingabire Grace Balinda, MD

Dr. Ingabire Grace Balinda is a fellowship-trained cardiologist with expertise in cardiac imaging. She holds certifications in a variety of imaging modalities, including Level III echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular computed tomography. Dr. Balinda’s clinical areas of interest include preventive cardiology, women’s cardiovascular health and structural heart disease. She leverages her imaging expertise in the prevention and early detection of coronary artery disease as well as the diagnosis and management of structural heart disease and heart conditions that predominantly affect women, including ischemia with no obstructive coronary arteries (INOCA) and pregnancy-related heart disease.

Dr. Balinda obtained her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. She completed her training in internal medicine and global medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, followed by fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Dr. Balinda is a member of the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association, where she currently serves on the ACC/AHA joint committee for performance measures. She is also a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and the Society of Cardiovascular Computer Tomography. In her free time, Dr. Balinda enjoys traveling the world with her husband and daughter, watching Netflix and reading any book she can get her hands on. She is fluent in French, Kinyarwanda and Swahili.
