Misty Lawrence has a history of caring for Texas hearts dating back to 1999 after graduating with a diploma in nursing. She began her nursing career working in a coronary care setting in the Lubbock area before relocating to North Texas in 2000. Misty went on to earn her bachelor's degree in 2005 and master's degree in 2017 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She became board-certified as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in 2017. Since then, she has been practicing as a cardiology nurse practitioner specializing in comprehensive cardiovascular care. She is dedicated to prevention, patient education, and evidence-based treatment with a focus on helping patients achieve better heart health and long-term wellness. Misty's in-depth experience includes managing hypertension, high cholesterol and other risk factors for heart disease, as well as coronary artery disease, heart failure, valve disorders, and arrhythmias.

She is experienced as a clinical instructor, helping to mentor other aspiring nurse practitioners, and is a member of the American College of Cardiology and Texas Nurse Practitioners organizations.
