Bio
Kevin Mainz is licensed by the State of Texas as a certified physician assistant. He received his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Mainz received his undergraduate degree in exercise science from Texas Tech University, and then completed a master’s in exercise physiology from the University of North Texas. He worked as an exercise physiologist at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, and served as cardiac rehab director for nine years, prior to attending P.A. school.
Mainz also worked as a P.A. in general internal medicine prior to joining Presbyterian Heart & Vascular Group. He and his wife Kelli have three children.

He was genuinely interested in what I had to say. I was frightened by an episode when my heart raced at 142 bpm. Kevin explained what he thought the cause was. He took careful notes. This was my first visit since 2019. It ran long while I caught him up on my recent medical history. He never rushed me. I love this guy. […]Oct 2025My entire experience went very efficiently & smoothly! Had a 5 minute in line to check in with reception rep. Waited less than 5 minutes for nurse assistant to come get me (was still finishing filling out my paperwork). She quickly processed me with preliminary checks, then quickly gave me an EKG. After that was finished, waited less than 5 minutes for my PA to see me. He quickly went over the results of my tests as well as my preliminary processing results (weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc). Answered all my questions fully & quicky. Discussed all my efforts since my last visit, as well as any concerns I currently had. Then he indicated that because of my continued progress in several areas (weight, blood pressure, lack of swelling in my feet & ankles, blood sugar levels, etc), we could soon discuss the options of taking me off several of my current medications! My entire visit (initial wait, check in & processing, tests, & PA discussions, etc took a little over 30 minutes to complete!Oct 2025Personable and courteousOct 2025The front staff could stand to be friendlier but back of the house is always great.
