Dipaben Patel, MD Internal Medicinein Bedford, TX

Dipaben Patel, M.D., is a member of the core faculty of the Texas Health HEB and Texas Health Denton Internal Medicine Residency Program. She specializes in hospital medicine and is an active member of the medical staff at Texas Health HEB.

Dr. Patel graduated medical school from Government Medical College in Surat, India. She completed residency in internal medicine at University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria. She was then recruited to teach academic medicine at the same hospital, followed by teaching at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her career, she has earned a wide range of clinical experience, working in small community hospitals and in academia.

Throughout her career, Dr. Patel has been passionate about preparing the next generation for the ever-changing field of hospital medicine. Dr. Patel is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity for students of all backgrounds and genders, and works to create a sense of community for every resident physician in the residency program.

Family and work balance are important to Dr. Patel. She is married to a physician and they live in Southlake with two young children. Their unique, multi-generational home brings her great joy and keeps her days filled with love and laughter. Music is an essential part of Dr. Patel’s daily routine. She enjoys listening to all forms of music, especially from her native culture. She also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and hosting large family gatherings.
