Bio
Belma Zachariah knew at an early age that she wanted to pursue a nursing career. She became a family nurse practitioner so she could care for patients across their lifespan and make a difference in their overall wellbeing. Belma worked as a registered nurse for seven years in the Dallas-Fort Worth area before returning to the classroom to earn her FNP certification in 2019. Her areas of special focus include heart health, primary care, internal medicine, and management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disfunction and osteoporosis.
Belma earned her undergraduate nursing degree in Chennai, India. She later completed her master's degree in nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. When not with her patients, Belma enjoys reading and listening to music. She is fluent in the Malayalam language
