Dr. Chidinma Amakiri has built her career as an internal medicine physician on a commitment of caring and advocacy for a diverse population. Her areas of clinical interest and focus include prevention-based medicine and management of chronic conditions such as renal disease and diabetes.
Dr. Amakiri earned her medical degree from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, N.M. She completed her internal medicine residency at Unity Health in Searcy, Ark. As chief resident during her final year in training, Dr. Amakiri supervised and taught other residents as they managed the ongoing care of 20 patients. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Osteopathic Association and American Medical Association. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking and immersing herself in a good novel.

Dr. Amakiri is the best doctor I have ever had and I am in my 70s.

Check in was quick and efficient. I checked in for my appointment at exactly the scheduled time. But it was bothersome and distracting for the office staff to call me and talk several minutes about what to doIf I'm late. If I had been late, that would have been the reason for it.
