Bio
Samra Aman began her nursing career in 2008 working in the Houston, Texas area after serving for a time as a kindergarten teacher. She brought her clinical training and experience in family and internal medicine, pediatrics, cardiac care and women’s health services to North Texas in 2016. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner and has in-depth experience caring for patients with chronic health conditions, including diabetes and kidney disease.
Samra earned both a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing education from Texas Woman’s University. She received her post-master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner from The University of Texas at Arlington. Samra describes herself as a lifelong learner who is extremely detail oriented. She is a proud Eritrean-American who is fluent in the East African language of Tigrinya.
