Jonathan Andrew Poggi, MD Neurosurgeryin Plano, TX

Patients who experience stroke, carotid artery disease and vascular disorders impacting the central nervous system have a skilled resource for care in Dr. Jonathan Poggi. Dr. Poggi became a board-certified neurosurgeon in 2021. He has advanced training in neurovascular and neuro-endovascular treatments, which enables him to effectively diagnose and treat complex brain and spinal cord vascular diseases from inside the blood vessels using catheters and radiology.

Dr. Poggi performs a variety of complex and minimally invasive procedures, including carotid endarterectomy, microsurgical aneurysm clipping and vascular reconstruction, transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR), and decompression surgery for Chiari malformation. He earned his medical degree while attending Albany Medical College in New York. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Brown University in Providence, RI. He went on to complete his neurovascular fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Poggi is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Beyond the operating room, he enjoys playing chess, reading, running, and traveling the world.
