Bio
Dr. Travis Atchley is a board eligible neurosurgeon dedicated to providing advanced care for patients facing complex conditions of the brain, spine, and skull base. He is fellowship-trained in open and endoscopic skull base techniques for tumors such as pituitary adenomas, meningiomas, and vestibular schwannomas as well as the surgical treatment of vascular lesions like aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations.
Dr. Atchley also performs a variety of open and minimally invasive spinal procedures, including discectomy, spinal decompressions, and spinal fusions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System and his skull base fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.
Dr. Atchley completed a dedicated research fellowship in skull base microneurosurgery research at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City during his senior residency, enhancing his ability to treat tumors and masses in some of the most intricate and delicate areas of the body. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Skull Base Society, and the Southern Neurosurgical Society.
