Bio
Jayson Bell, M.D. is a fellowship-trained orthopedic traumatologist—which means that, in addition to general orthopedic care, Jayson has received specialized training in the treatment of complex fractures and severely injured patients. A native Oklahoman, he received his medical degree from OU College of Medicine in 2006 and completed his residency at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2011.
Jayson spent two years working with the Indian Health Service at Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico. It was here that he developed a passion for trauma work in particular because of the significance involved in helping patients rebuild their lives after a catastrophic injury. He went on to receive fellowship training in orthopedic trauma at University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, completing the program in 2014.
A Rhodes Scholar finalist, Jayson received multiple academic honors and awards both as an undergraduate and medical student graduating top of his class in both. His research work has been published in medical journals and he has given numerous presentations on topics related to orthopedic trauma. Immediately prior to joining Structure, Jayson was in practice at Fulcrum Orthopaedics in Plano, TX. Outside of the clinic and the OR, Jayson enjoys SCUBA diving and spending time with his wife Natalie and his busy little girls, Madeline and Evelyn. He loves Siberian Huskies, Mexican food, and being outdoors. He humbly attributes his professional and personal success to the relationship with God afforded through his Christian faith.
