Kathleen Underwood has prioritized timely assessments, stabilization and inpatient management as a trauma surgery physician assistant since 2024. She has additional experience in acute care surgery as a certified physician assistant with special interests in the areas of traumatic brain injury care and ultrasound use in emergency medicine.
Kathleen earned her bachelor’s degree in biology while attending The University of Texas at Dallas. She graduated with her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Kathleen is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
