During her postgraduate training years she won three best oral presentation awards at annual meetings of the Southern Region Burn Conference. She has also presented her research findings at the South African Burn Congress in Cape Town, South Africa and the American Burn Association national meetings.
Dr. Williams previously served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine working in the Walter L. Ingram Burn Center. She then advanced to become the Associate Medical Director for the Grossman Burn Centers.
