Bio
Dr. Caitlyn Waldrop is double board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care, with advanced training in trauma and emergency surgery. She has dedicated her career to caring for critically ill and injured patients, including those requiring emergency surgery and intensive care. Her practice encompasses open surgery as well as minimally invasive laparoscopic, endoscopic and robotic techniques, with a particular clinical interest in hernia repair.
Dr. Waldrop earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She completed her general surgery residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, followed by fellowship training in surgical critical care at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Her training in general surgery, trauma and critical care has prepared her to care for patients across the spectrum of acute surgical illness-from traumatic injury and emergency surgery through intensive care and recovery.
Dr. Waldrop is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma and the Association of Women Surgeons. Outside of medicine, she enjoys international travel, weightlifting and watching sports with her family.
