Bio

Dr. Katherine Makohon has been a trusted general surgeon in the Rockwall community since 2002. She is board-certified and specializes in a wide range of procedures, including general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and advanced minimally invasive surgery. In addition to her years in private surgical practice, Dr. Makohon previously served in leadership roles at Texas Health Rockwall, including Chief of Staff, Vice Chief of Surgery and Chief of Surgery.

She earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Ill. She completed her general surgery residency locally at Methodist Medical Center. Dr. Makohon is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, North Texas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, and Texas Medical Association. When not with her patients, she enjoys walking, golfing and road cycling.
