Thomas Kane Kleinschmidt, MD General Surgeryin Grapevine, TX

Dr. Thomas "Kane" Kleinschmidt has served the surgical needs of the Grapevine community since 2022. He is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon skilled in the use of minimally invasive and robotic-assisted approaches to colon resection, GI tumor removal and other surgical care. In addition to his surgical skills, Dr. Kleinschmidt is a certified instructor in the placement of dialysis and specialized catheters.

Upon earning his medical degree from Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Dr. Kleinschmidt went on to complete his general surgery residency through the Brookwood Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Ala. He completed his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida.

Dr. Kleinschmidt has participated in several medical mission trips during his career with the focus of providing surgical assistance to underserved populations in Nicaragua and Panama. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, Clinical Robotic Surgery Association, Dallas/Tarrant County Medical Society, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and Texas Medical Association. Away from the office, Dr. Kleinschmidt enjoys long-distance running, traveling, spending time with family and collecting American coins.
