Ashleigh Fontenot, MD Surgical Critical Care, General Surgeryin Fort Worth, TX

Dr. Ashleigh Fontenot is a board-certified general surgeon with fellowship training in acute care surgery and surgical critical care. She specializes in laparoscopic surgeries and endovascular surgeries for trauma patients. Dr. Fontenot previously served for five years in several capacities for Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Ore., including trauma/acute care surgeon and clinical assistant professor of Surgery. She served as surgical co-director of the hospital's Intensive Care Unit from 2021 to 2023.

Dr. Fontenot earned her medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed her general surgery residency while attending the University at Buffalo in New York and her acute care surgery & surgical critical care fellowship at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. Dr. Fontenot is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Eastern Association of Trauma Surgery and Society of Critical Care Medicine.
