Bio
Dr. Jonathan Deitch has held academic and departmental leadership roles in the area of surgery since 1998. He previously served as associate professor of Surgery and associate chairman of Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital in New York for more than a decade. He also has held numerous academic appointments in vascular surgery, including Chief of Vascular And Endovascular Surgery and the program director of vascular fellowship in the Department of Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Deitch currently serves as Professor of Surgery at the Burnett School of Medicine at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
Dr. Deitch is fellowship-trained in vascular and endovascular surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, southern Association of Vascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society and the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery. Dr. Deitch performs a broad range of open and minimally invasive procedures to promote improved circulatory health beyond abdominal aortic aneurysms, venous thrombosis, peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery disease, and other vascular conditions. Additionally, he focuses on the care of vascular trauma patients and those with comorbidities related to diabetes.
Dr. Deitch earned his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla. He completed his general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx, N.Y. He served as chief resident during his final year in residency. Dr. Deitch went on to complete his vascular surgery fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., and his endovascular surgery fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.
Dr. Deitch has served as an investigator for a variety of clinical trials in vascular procedures and treatments, and has published extensively in the field of vascular surgery. He was repeatedly recognized as a top physician and surgeon in the New York area prior to relocating to Texas.
