Bio
Early work in a community health clinic that provided women’s care services led Dr. John Freeman to specialize in caring for the general and emergent health needs of women. He became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 1988. His areas of special focus include menopause management, well-woman care, surgical management of endometriosis, and minimally invasive laparoscopic hysterectomy and other gynecological procedures.
Dr. Freeman earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed a basic surgery residency through the University of Florida/Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville. Two years later, he completed his Ob/Gyn residency at Washington Hospital Center in Baltimore, Md., an affiliate of Johns Hopkins Medicine. He served as chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Freeman is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the Tarrant County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association. He was twice recognized as a Tarrant County Top Doc by Fort Worth Magazine.
