Dr. Shawn Okpara is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction. His clinical experience includes primary and revision hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, and care for traumatic orthopedic injuries, with same-day joint replacement options available for appropriate candidates. He is passionate about providing individualized, patient-centered care, taking the time to educate patients about their treatment options and guide them to improved mobility, pain relief, and return to the activities they love.

Dr. Okpara earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and his adult reconstruction fellowship at Texas Hip and Knee Center in Fort Worth, where he gained comprehensive experience across the full spectrum of hip and knee arthroplasty.
