Samra Aman began her nursing career in 2008 working in the Houston, Texas area after serving for a time as a kindergarten teacher. She brought her clinical training and experience in family and internal medicine, pediatrics, cardiac care and women's health services to North Texas in 2016. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner and has in-depth experience caring for patients with chronic health conditions, including diabetes and kidney disease.
Samra earned both a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in nursing education from Texas Woman's University. She received her post-master's certificate as a family nurse practitioner from The University of Texas at Arlington. Samra describes herself as a lifelong learner who is extremely detail oriented. She is a proud Eritrean-American who is fluent in the East African language of Tigrinya.

I tend to have a bit of anxiety when visiting with physician's. Samra is so calm and kid that I forget that I am at a doctor's appointment . I like and respect her so very much.

I was very impressed with Samra! She was so knowledgeable and professional. She asked the right questions and scheduled a test for me, which was needed (lung CT scan). She was very easy to talk to and she gave me, her undivided attention. I was in very capable hands. She is a rock star!! I would love to see her again!!!
