Sep 2025This was an annual physical. The appointment was set for 8:30. I didn't get into an exam room until right before 9:00 and there was no explanation for the delay. If it were busy, then that would be one explanation. However, it wasn't. I was taken back to the exam room and was notified that Dr. Ragle is running late. I was seen by him around 9:10/9:15. All he did was have me take some deep breaths, ask about a previous colonoscopy (the dates in the system were wrong), and if I had a way to test my blood sugar at home. Nothing else was done or to follow up from a previous visit in [...]. Later that day, I got a text about me being referred to another doctor. He made no mention of this during my appointment. The referral came through, and it was for another Gastroenterologist. I already have one, although he's not affiliated with Texas Health. I messaged through MyChart about it and got another message about another referral. I appreciate the notification, but the message I get is very vague later. If there's an issue with my health and I'm being referred to another doctor or specialist, I need to know beforehand. I've been seeing Dr. Ragle for about 17 years, and this is the worst experience I've had. He has always been good with my care and kept me well-informed, so I've been a little shocked by how this visit went.Sep 20251st time visit with my new Doctor, had made feel right at ease.
