Melody Matej knew at an early age that she wanted to be a practitioner after caring for her mother during a lengthy recovery from a fractured ankle. She became a registered nurse in 2007 and certified as a family nurse practitioner in 2018. The opportunity to care for entire families throughout their life span is what drew Melody to family medicine. She places a priority on establishing an open and honest dialogue with her patients to promote optimal health and well-being.
Melody earned her undergraduate degree in nursing at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She completed her master’s degree in nursing at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas. Outside of work, Melody enjoys working out at the gym, shopping and spending family time with her husband and two children. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Jan 2026NP Melody Matej is probably the best practitioner I've ever had in [...] years of seeing a doctor, and this includes[..].
